News 3 is committed to Taking Action Against Crime in Hampton Roads. Working closely with Crime Line and local law enforcement, they have helped put dozens of criminals behind bars through their weekly segments featuring wanted suspects.

wtkrlogoSince 2008, police have arrested more than 200 fugitives featured in their special Taking Action Against Crime reports.

“We’re dedicated to working with Crime Line because it’s a partnership that’s getting results. Often, as soon as our segment airs, calls and texts start pouring in to Crime Line with tips. The men and women who patrol our streets have a tough job and they can’t do it alone. We all need to work together to keep our communities safe,” said News Director Ryan Minnaugh.

News 3 is also proud to sponsor fundraisers for Crime Line throughout the year, including the annual Top Cop Awards and area golf tournaments.
